Quartiersstube
Madleina Fischer & Mike Zweidler
The project is to be understood as a living room, developed to be public and accessible to all. Four new squares, each with different uses, are created along Dachslernstrasse. They invite the residents to linger and strengthen the interactions between the different generations. A modular system of elements, furniture and standard details form the link between the squares. At one of the squares is the Quartierstube, which forms the center of the neighborhood and serves as a substitute for the squares during the winter season. In the "Quartierstube" there is also a social worker who provides information about all the possible activities that can take place in the existing buildings around Dachslernstrasse.
